Matt started cooking in Margaret River in 2002.
After moving to Perth and working in all sections of the kitchen at Star Anise he was appointed Sous Chef at the age of 20.His love of food and cooking took him to Asia and Europe where he discovered new ingredients and styles of cooking.
In 2009 Matt assisted in the development of Pata Negra restaurant before joining the Greenhouse as Head Chef, leading a young and dynamic team of enthusiasts.
Greenhouse prides itself on being sustainable and carbon neutral with a vegetable garden on the roof.Matt is passionate about healthy sustainable gourmet food. He recently won the Gourmet Traveller Australian Best New Talent for 2011 Award.
23 year old Matt has the confidence and ability to take on any Iron Chef and will have his Sous Chefs - brother Jake and Daniel Dobra at his side during the competition.
