Heartbreak in Summer Bay
Heath (Dan Ewing) and Bianca (Lisa Gormley) struggle to come to terms with the sudden death of their young son Rocco. Heath wonders if they somehow caused it.
Bianca is unable to stay in the house her son died in and leaves Heath to go stay at Irene’s. With Bianca gone, a devastated Heath breaks down in grief, and Brax comforts him.
"It's extremely tough for both of them" Dan told TV Week. "Heath certainly wants to get through this together, but Bianca, goes into shutdown mode."

Psychologist Dr Janet Hall has praised Channel 7 for tackling an important subject but warned some viewers would be deeply affected. "This is a traumatic issue for parents."
Debbie Chen, from SIDS and Kids Australia said "We were very impressed with the portrayal of the episodes and would be fully supportive of being involved in the development of the story going forward."

My daughter would've been 37 now since her cot death at 4 months in 1975. Fortunately for me I had a son and was already pregnant at the time not knowing it was another daughter! I was so happy but she does not take the place of her deceased sister. She's always in our hearts. After her birth I got another son so they helped me to be able to cope and we all react in different ways. Our marriage lasted too, it brings couples closer. SIDS not very pleasant at all.
ReplyCan't even began to understand what parents loosing a child are going thorugh. So devastating and unfair to loose a baby like this. Like Lisa said, you're meant to loose grandparents etc not your own babies and children. Such a sad episode to watch.

ReplyThere is so much sadness on TV as it is and I used to enjoy watching Home and Away for its great storylines mix of funny, drama and so on. But why on earth have they done this to Heath and Bianca. I don't know if I can watch H&A anymore. Can't anyone be happy on the show?
