If you go watch the 1996 earthquake episode, you will find that Sally and Shannon and Angel is in the same episode, 2006 is really the 1996 earthquake, just two diffrent scenes of the same episode.
Isla Fisher was not on home and away in 2006, her time span on the show was in 1994–1997, this is a error with the writers, I watched Home and Away in 2006, and there was not a earth quake, the writers were about 10 years off, in 1996 this earthquake episode was aired,I have watched the show for 21 years since 1990 and I remember watching the this earthquake in 1996, so the damage to the school occured 15 years ago, sorry writers you are not in total sync, get it right.
This was not in 2006, peoples this earthquake was flimed in 1996, folks the producers, this major earthquake happend in 1996, so the writers got it wrong.
