We have re-instated this feature and hope you enjoy the opportunity to get an insight into the creation of the show and future story lines. Please be respectful with your questions and we will continue to select the best each month.

1.andrewsmith1990 - I've noticed a change in the lighting in episodes airing recently, it seems to be more sunny and natural. It makes the sets look very real, bright and warm. Will this style of lighting continue on in the future or are we seeing an experimental phase right now? Also on topic with sets, would you ever consider building an exterior of the Summer Bay House. It would really add a sense of nostalgia having scenes move from the outside of Miles house into the caravan park.

There has been a significant change in our lighting and while you could say that what you are seeing is experimental it is definitely here to stay. The change is a visual representation of an across- the- board shift in the tone of the production for next series. This shift begins with script but carries across all levels of production. The storylines for next season are on the whole lighter with a focus on character relationships rather than heavy plot. It’s not as dark thematically and we’ll see much more humour. The lighting reflects this change. We have been hoping to rebuild Summer Bay House ever since it burnt down but have been blocked for numerous reasons over the years, mostly our inability to secure a suitable location long-term. However, we now have that location and plans are well under way and we hope to begin construction in January.

2. Alison - Hi Cameron, thanks for taking the time to answer our questions. I would like to know if Brendan will be returning to the show. I understand that it might be hard to write him in permanently but it would be great to see Brendan on the show as a recurring character. Any chance? He's is a sensational character and I love the depth of emotion he brings to the role. Thanks for your time.

Kain O’Keefe has done a fantastic job portraying Brendan and yes, he will return in early 2010. We would definitely love to see him return again at some stage but it will be a question of making it work with his other commitments.

3. nav sop - Was John Palmer against Hugo sinking the wreck because he knew the other boat with the bodies was out there? Is John Palmer linked to the mystery? Is Alf linked to the mystery?

John Palmer had no idea about the bodies – he was campaigning against Hugo for environmental reasons. As far as being linked…each character is linked in some way…

4. noahpatrick20 - Hi Cameron thanks for taking the time to answer fan questions. Would you ever consider filming another special episode in the UK (should it fit in with the storyline of course), or is this unlikely due to budget constraints? Also would you consider shooting it in Wales, Scotland or Ireland rather than England for a 3rd time?

We would love to shoot in the UK again. I was fortunate enough to be involved in the last shoot and I know everyone who went along had a great time. We’d be open to shooting anywhere in the worlds if the storylines permitted.

5. Elaine - Is Miles going to have a new romance?

We haven’t plotted a new romance for Miles as yet but he has a BIG storyline in the first few months of next year – it’s definitely my favourite storyline in ten years of working on Home and Away.

6. Kelly - Hi cameron, could you please tell us whether you plan to continue charlies sexuality story next season? Will you continue what is an important issue for many,regardless of whether Joey ever returns?

Charlie’s sexuality will always be a part of her character. She is bi-sexual and at the moment is involved in a relationship with a male. If she enters a new romance it may well be with another female – we haven’t plotted it yet but we are open to the idea.

7. Laura - Annie is coming back soon as I was hooked on the romeo/annie relationship and think it would be a waste to let that storyline go.

Annie is definitely returning and fans of Annie/Romeo will be very happy with the storyline that plays out between them…
