Bevan Lee joined the audience for Insight on SBS on the subject of girls being 'bitchy' to each other.
Bevan has been a central figure in Australian commercial television writing for almost thirty years, working on shows like Home and Away, Sons and Daughters and Prisoner. More recently Bevan was responsible for creating the long running series All Saints as well as the hit show, Packed to the Rafters. Bevan has created and written for some of Australia’s most famous “bitch” characters like Roo Stewart and Pat the Rat. He says that these characters allow us to titillate our fantasies of doing and saying what we really think.

wow alexandra... That's the case with some of my friends at school as well... There's this girl who's funny and nice to everyone who has a best friend and when one of my friends talks to her, her best friend gets jealous and butts in and tries to add her opinion to the conversation... she's like really possessive I guess :)
My name is Alexandra and I am almost a teen, i am 11 years old and at school I have this good friend but she has a bet friend that is obsesed with her and I hardly get a word in. But when I start hanging out with my friend, her best friend gets jealous and then we both get annoyed!
I think girls can sometimes get into fights when one of them gets jealous or feels threatened by another girl not just psyicallly, I was bullied by girls at high school myself, but just tried to keep my head down.I love All Saints too actor Martin Lynes was so hot back in 2003 both him and Luke Bracey are hot and very sexy too.
Yeah this would be a great topic to have teenage girls do because like me there are girls in their teens who go through so many fights with other girls and have so many problems to try and stop it. I'm in year 8 and i think towards the end of year 7 to now there hasnt been one month where i havent been in a fight with someone so yeah i think it would be awesome to get some of summer bays teens in a storyline like this :) xx
I have been having major problems at school with girls- everything possible and id love to see ways of how to deal with it in home and away, as i WILL NOT go to anyone about it, id love home and away to look at this issue! x
