Welcome to our new feature where I'm going to share with you some hints about what lies ahead for you each day, five days a week in Summer Bay.

Before I start dropping those tasty tidbits about plots to come, I wanted to talk about two words - Spoilers and Teasers.

Spoilers are called that, in my mind, because they do just that - They spoil a viewer's enjoyment of the drama by removing a vital part of drama viewing - Suspense. How much more gripping a story is when you are hanging on the edge of your chair wondering what is about to happen, what will be the outcome of the situation or the answer to the mystery.

Take for example the upcoming mystery about Charlie's past. Some viewers know it already, having read it on Spoiler boards. I guarantee you, they won't enjoy the way the story plays out anywhere near as much as you viewers who know something happened in her past, but are hanging out as the story unfolds to learn the full story. This is why I am never going to give you Spoilers in this column. What I am going to give you is Teasers. These are hints of what is to come - teasings, not answers. These whet your appetite, make you even more anxious to watch, raise the curtain slightly for a peek rather than whip it away and reveal all.

That being made clear, here we go. I'm going to start this week with a few hints about the big Mystery Story that continues to twist and turn all the way to the end of the year and will be fully resolved in the first week back to air in 2010.

There's going to be marriage involved for one of the major players in this story. But it's a marriage that brings danger with it for a number of our characters.

Martha is going to find herself a mother, but maybe not in the way you'd expect. This is going to show a lovely new side to her that we haven't seen before.

I imagine some of you might have guessed that Lou's death is somehow involved with the larger mystery. I don't think it's spoiling things for me to confirm that this is true. Expect interesting developments when we revisit this area and Irene and Donna find themselves face to face again. Those viewers who complained on boards that the Lou mystery was over too soon with Donna being shipped off to jail were speaking too soon. The story is far from done. They swallowed the writers' red herring that was put there to misdirect your attempts to solve the mystery.

And one final one, and that should be enough for this time. One of our regular characters WILL be being farewelled at their funeral before this story is done. Yes, death will visit Summer Bay as a consequence of the big mystery.

I hope these tidbits make you even more determined to be at your tv every night now. Have a good week and I'll be back with more hints and teasings soon.
