Series producer Cameron Welsh told TV Week that clues will start coming thick and fast.

They asked him the following questions:

Can you give us a hint about what clues have already appeared? Angelo's (Luke Jacobz) return is definitely connected - that's something we haven't let anyone know yet. What I can tell you is that the hand that washed up on the beach that Miles (Josh Quong Tart) and VJ (Felix Dean) found is absolutely vital to the mystery. As so is Lou's (David Roberts) death.

When will the next clues appear? This storyline is bubbling beneath the surface all the time. It's always there, but the big clues will start to pop up a bit more regularly as we head towards the end of the year. So far they've been spaced out about a month apart, but they'll appear every couple of weeks now. You still need to keep your eye on new characters that emerge who have some sort of mystery surrounding their arrival.

Such as the Indonesian character who is brought into the hospital? Absolutely!

Is Hugo (Bernard Curry) up to his neck in trouble? There's no doubt he's got some secrets. While we don't know what they are at this stage, he's definitely a character with a mysterious past. Is he connected to it all? It's hard to say. In some ways, everybody's connected to it.

Will any past characters come back as the mystery unfolds? Yes. Morag (Cornelia Frances) will return soon, which we're all looking forward to. And Holly Brisley (who plays Amanda) will come back for Belle's wedding.

Will there by any further revelations about Jack's (Paul O'Brien) death or is that case closed now? No, that case is closed for good. I know a few people are still clinging to some sort of thin hope that he might be alive and in witness protection - or all sorts of crazy things - but, sadly, that's not the case. He's definitely gone. Also, Belle is not involved in the mystery storyline either.

Can you give us any hints about which characters will be affected the most by what happens? Everyone will be affected, and that's the idea of the story we're telling. We've tried to create a storyline that will affect everybody. I don't think there's anyone who will be left untouched by it.

Is there anyone to watch specifically? All I can reveal is viewers would do well to let Angelo be their guide through the mystery. He's not always on the right track, but it's fair to say he's in the thick of it.

In todays UK episode, Martha said that some of the houses in Yabbie Creek are built on septic tanks. This could have something to do with the toxic waste, as the ground beneath them is diseased. Another reason why the developement site storyline should be brought back. Us fans have a say about future storyline don't we? Bring Back Belle Peter Baker style and reunite Adelle and Bring Back the development site storyline, and finish it off on screen, not off screen.

No...I don't think John Palmer is involved... I reckon that previous skipper(what's his name again?) and Derrick are Hugo' pawns... And that Hugo is definitely involved in people smuggling or some other dodgy business and is in it with Suzy and that's why she needed help from Hugo...not because of some dive business thing... But then again... this is just my theory :)

It was a bad idea to kill off Belle and end the best couple like this, us fans should have had a say on how Belle left. I think Belle she should have been brought back as part of this mystery storyline that's going on.

  9. ADEN♥BELLE FOREVER 10:24pm Friday 06th November 2009 EST Report Abuse

I hope the mystery storyline really isn't about people smuggling and there is more to it than just smuggling because this will hardly affect everyone and change Sumemr Bay forever. What is in those crates on the Island, who really killed Lou and what is Derreck really up to? What's the severed hand got to do with the mystery?

  10. ADEN♥BELLE FOREVER 12:46am Friday 30th October 2009 EST Report Abuse
