Played by Johnny Ruffo.
When Chris first hits Summer Bay, it’s with a clear agenda in mind – to talk his younger brother into going back home. What Chris doesn’t count on is the strength of Spencer’s love for his girlfriend, or the support his little brother now has from Alf, Roo and Harvey.
Nor does he expect to find the place inhabited by beautiful women, like Indi Walker (Samara Weaving). So when his plan goes astray, Chris decides to spend a little more time in the Bay, enjoy the scenery and who knows? Maybe fall in love.
For almost ten years of his life, Chris was an only child, and all of his parents’ hopes and dreams were pinned on him. It was expected that he would follow in his father’s footsteps and become a doctor.
Unfortunately, Chris was in no way academic, driven, or even responsible, causing him to be at constant loggerheads with his father. But then Chris received the answer to his prayers – the arrival of a baby brother, Spencer.
It wasn’t too long before Spencer proved that he was gifted and Chris was dropped by his parents like a hot potato. Chris could not have been happier. He had all the perks of coming from a rich family, including unlimited funds, but none of the responsibility.
But when Spencer ran away from home, and was subsequently cut off by his father, Chris became the focus of his father’s attention again.
However, the only thing Chris was paying attention to was Indi. Returning to the Bay after realising he had true feelings for her, timing proved to be an issue with Indi still getting over Romeo.
It’s no secret the pair have chemistry, but is Chris enough for Indi? Often left feeling like he’s not good enough for the Bay beauty, Chris also has Indi’s disapproving sister Sasha to contend with. But big romantic gestures like picking his date up in a horse drawn carriage help prove to Indi that he’s serious about her. However, when Chris’ ex-girlfriend Robyn arrives in the Bay, followed by the news of Romeo’s death, Chris understands why Indi feels she needs to get away from Summer Bay.
