Hi everyone

I can't believe Christmas is so close and that I am no where near ready! Mind you I did manage to make some mince pies for the party at the Surf Club and when I got Miles to sample them he said “now that really tastes like Christmas…” which was very sweet, but then I had to stop him eating the whole lot!

So what has been happening this week? Well Aden and Nicole got into a spot of trouble…he managed to get fired from his new job at the Sands Resort and then in an act of defiance, went for a joy ride in the Manager's daughter's red convertible mini, taking Nicole with him!

This seemed a bit reckless even for Aden; although I’m sure he got up to much worse when he first arrived in the Bay. However, when I dug a bit deeper a story unraveled about the Manager's two daughters. Aden only got the job on the condition he would take Catie to the Year 12 formal…unfortunately he paid no attention to her and this got back to her dad.

The other sister, Poppie had been getting guitar lessons from Liam Murphy and a bit more! When Catie told Aden that her sister had slept with Liam, he lost it and went to tell Nic immediately.

The end result was that Aden and Nicole were caught on their joy ride, arrested and spent a few hours in a police cell. This time together forced them to confront their feelings, and Aden let Nic read the last letter Belle had written to him telling him that it was ok to move on. I hope they can be happy, they have both been through so much this year.

Tony is struggling with the gym and agreed to sell a majority share to John Palmer to get a much need injection of capital. Rachel told me that she is worried about John locking Tony into a deal too quickly, especially after they discovered Tradesmen preparing quotes for upgrading the locker rooms without consulting Tony. I hope he has made the right decision, Kit and Matilda gave him the money to buy the gym after Beth died, so it would be sad if he lost it.

Ruby gave "Cupid" a hand this week and created some special time with Geoff. I saw him heading to Irene's with a beautiful bunch of flowers and when they came into the Diner later they looked very much in love.

I felt a surprising spark of chemistry when I bumped into Hazem. He helped me re-vamp the Diner a while ago and it was so nice to see him again. I invited him to the Christmas party and we had a lovely time, although Miles spoilt it a bit. He got drunk, I think he was embarrassed because earlier in the day he tried to kiss me…we got our wires crossed. I had been telling him that I was ready for a relationship again and he thought I meant with him. Of course Colleen just happened to see the kiss and immediately started spreading rumours that we were an item! Hazem was a real gentleman and offered to get Miles home, but he refused and just disappeared down to the beach.

It was a strange night, although people were enjoying themselves there was a lot of underlying tension. Xavier was acting very strangely, kept saying he could hear dogs barking and that his memory was coming back after the incident where he almost drowned.

Martha was a mess, especially after Hugo turned up and said goodbye to Gina, Xavier, Rachel and Tony, with no real explanation. Then Charlie, who had been having a great time dancing with Ruby, took off after receiving a phone call saying Derrick Quaid had escaped.

As the evening came to an end, after Colleen had everyone singing carols, I went to collect my plates from the kitchen and overheard Xavier in a frantic state telling Alf and Romeo that he thought Hugo was in danger and that he had to go Port Heron to help him. I didn’t hear any more, but they rushed out. I hope everyone is going to be alright.

I am going to think positively and look forward to Christmas and all the exciting things that the New Year will bring.

Happy holidays Stay safe
