Hi everyone

I’m sorry to start my blog to you in a negative way, but I’m feeling so angry about V.J. being bullied at school, and the fact that I didn’t spot something was wrong sooner. I was having a real go at him about throwing the water bomb at Miles’ car and then lifting the security password from the computers at the Diner, that I missed the signs there was something very wrong. He can be a bit boisterous at times, but this total change of character should have been a warning sign to me. I was horrified when I saw all the bruises on his legs.

To make matters worse, the reaction we got from Riley’s dad Ian, makes my blood boil, his only suggestion was that VJ should toughen up and take up karate or boxing lessons! As a parent I feel very helpless, I desperately want to protect my son, but VJ doesn’t want us to do anything as he thinks it will make everything worse. Perhaps Miles can make the boys understand that bullying will not be tolerated at the school.

Ok now that I’ve got that off my chest, I will calm down, have a coffee and tell you about the rest of the week.

I’m not really one for gossip (that’s Colleen’s speciality) but when we heard that Hugo had a wife, tongues started wagging around the Diner. There was an awkward moment when Martha, Gina and Suzy were all here at the same time. Martha confronted her but Suzy was very charming, especially to Gina and said how she had always wanted to meet her...Gina wasn’t sure how to re-act to her new found daughter in-law! I wonder why she has really come to Summer Bay.

Speaking of Gina, she seems to be getting on very well with John Palmer. Unfortunately Xavier is not happy at all, he can’t stand the guy. I must admit, after the way John treated his stepson Trey, I’m not surprised there is some tension between them.

Ruby is slowly coming to terms with being a diabetic, but she didn’t want anyone at school to know, as she thought they would treat her like a freak. So when Gonk ate her jelly babies, she didn’t say anything and that led to her having a hypoglycaemic attack and collapsing at school. She’s ok, but of course Charlie is really worried, especially as she didn’t find out until after she came out of hospital, she would be much happier if Ruby came home so that we could keep an eye on her. Ruby refused point blank, so Charlie said she would move in with her and Geoff, at least until Irene came back from Japan...haha I can just imagine Ruby’s reaction to that news.

Angelo has made a break through in the asylum seekers case. He arrested the man that broke into Hugo’s boat shed and then Nicole confirmed that he was one who chased her and Geoff when they were stranded on the island and bragged about killing people. They got a match with his fingerprints on the log book and on the piece of paper found in Bambang’s toy.

Rachel has just been in and told me that she went to pay a Visa bill and found there was no money in the savings account. Tony finally admitted that the Gym was struggling financially, but he didn’t want to worry her especially after her recent post natal depression. Rachel has offered to take on a few extra shifts at the hospital; I just hope that doesn’t put too much strain on their relationship.

I’ve been trying to cheer Miles up, he has been so lost since Kirsty and Ollie left. We had a good chat at the beach the other day, but he seems resigned to the fact that Kirsty made it very clear she just wants a clean finish. He’s just been into the Diner and said he is going for a swim, hopefully that will make him feel better.

Until next week

Take care
