Hi everyone

Young love can be so traumatic! I’ve heard that Xavier has become increasingly jealous of Geoff’s friendship with Ruby and actually confronted him as he came out of the surf, telling him to stay away from her.

Kirsty spotted Nicole in a clinch with Liam on the beach and told Miles to have a word with her, but I don’t think he did a very good job because Liam was seen coming downstairs in a dishevelled state from Nicole’s bedroom later in the day. Ollie wanted to know who he was and why he wasn’t wearing any shoes…bless him.

But the worst case of teenage angst is between Annie, Jai and Romeo. So many furtive looks between them, I just don’t know what is going on, but I suspect that Annie is rather keen on Romeo and poor Jai is going to get terribly hurt.

Martha is having second thoughts about her “honesty is the best policy” approach to the election campaign after John Palmer put up posters of her pole dancing. She fought back by putting the slogan ‘nothing to hide’ on the poster and then he wrote to the local paper saying it was an affront to public decency.

Gina Austin had her first encounter with him at the school. He came to speak to the students about Surf Life Saving. Initially, she was quite hostile when she found out he was behind the protests about Hugo’s dive boat idea. But then they were seen going for a walk together and getting along very well…interesting.

Rachel came back from Karitane and said it really helped her. In fact she told me that it made her recognise her strengths and weaknesses and she felt that she really needed to go back to work. She was nervous about telling Tony, but eventually raised it and he wasn’t keen. He’s worried that it is too soon and that her work is very demanding and stressful.

Once she gets an idea in her head, Rachel can be very stubborn and she came home the next day and said she was starting work straight away. Tony wasn’t happy, but he wants to be supportive. I hope they can cope juggling two careers when Harry is so young, it will be very difficult.

Robert continues to surprise me. He appeared at my door with a jar of lollipops, after remembering that they were my favourite. Later in the week he arrived looking very dashing in a suit but with bare feet! He took me down to the beach for a romantic picnic, which was lovely, we had a wonderful time. I know he won’t be staying in the Bay forever, but it’s so nice to have some male attention again.

Until next week

Take care
