Hi everyone

I have to admit I’m feeling good at the moment, but I’m almost embarrassed to tell you the reason.

Do I sound pathetic if I tell you that having a little bit of attention from Detective Robertson has really given me a lift? He’s a bit whacky and has given some people a hard time, but with me he is a real gentleman. You should have seen Miles’ face when he quoted T.S. Elliot to him in the Diner. “Human kind cannot bare much reality” he said “We keep hoping for the best and we keep being disappointed. Every now and then we stumble on something or someone and hope seems entirely reasonable.” Miles was lost for words, but I kind of liked what he said.

Ruby Leeds has been doing wonders for Brendan, she has really given him the confidence to do things for himself. It’s quite funny that she has the same name as Xavier’s girlfriend and that is why everyone thought Brendan had a crush on Ruby Buckton.

Although, Gina has been struggling with Brendan’s new found independence, but when he saved his brother from drowning, after Xavier was pushed by the man Hugo found in his boat shed, Gina realised that perhaps Brendan was ready to live his own life in the community house after all.

Xavier was very lucky, it could have been much worse, but he does seem to have lost his memory about the incident, hopefully that will only be for the short-term. I think Hugo and Martha must be very worried; after getting death threats, and a rock through the window and then fighting off an intruder. Surely John Palmer can’t be responsible can he?

Miles let the ‘cat out of the bag’ when he came in for lunch with Kirsty, Tony and Rachel. He was like a child who had been on the red cordial, he was so excited that he blurted out they were expecting a baby! We all screamed with delight, but Kirsty’s face froze and she made an excuse to leave. I heard her shouting at him out on the Pier soon after.

Irene found her down by the water and they had a bit of a heart to heart. She reassured Kirsty that having this baby with Miles will be vastly different to what happened with Kane. She won’t be on the run for starters and Miles is a good loving and supportive partner. Later, Irene told me that Kirsty sat down with Ollie and said she had a surprise for him, the little cutie said “is it a puppy?” …how adorable, and then he guessed it was a baby. Miles arrived just in time and they all had a huge hug.

Charlie came home very upset on Thursday because Det. Robertson handed her a folder containing pictures of Angelo chatting to strippers in Chinatown. She was devastated, because he couldn’t explain what he was doing there, but kept asking her to trust him. She has confided in Morag, so hopefully everything will come out in the open soon.

It puts me in a difficult position because Robert has just come round and asked me on a date! I heard a noise outside and when I looked out the window, he was bent over with his nose in my rosemary plant. I had to laugh and then he gave me a single red rose and asked me to dinner…how could I refuse?

Until next week
