Hello everyone

We are still feeling the shock of losing Belle, grief is such a difficult emotion to cope with. Aden is in a haze since her death – he won't speak or interact with anyone, and drinking seems to be the only way he passes the time. Alf told me that he refused to serve him any more alcohol at the Surf Club, then Aden tried to pick a fight with him, Gibbsy had to step in to try and calm him down. Apparently he offered Aden a chance to work on the boat.

Everyone is worried about him, and Irene thought it was time to give Aden a letter that Belle had written. She hoped it would give him strength and help him move on. Belle wrote “Aden if you are reading this it means you’ve pranged the car or put your fist through a wall or done something else totally stupid, I know what you are like. You’ve got the biggest heart of anyone I’ve ever met and I love that about you, but I know it means right now you must be in so much pain, but you can’t give up. What you have to do is let people in, let them help you. Aden there is so much more for you out there in this world, so please do this one thing for me.” Sadly, it just seem to make him worse, he got drunk and hit on Indi and then took some random girl home for the night, Irene walked in on them the next morning!

Rachel finally has some peace now that she has baby Harry at home. It was an incredible situation and Rachel was right all along. Jane (the lady who’s baby was stillborn) had kidnapped Harry and hidden him in a cottage that she rented in the name of Rachel Armstrong. It was only by chance that Rachel met the real estate agent that had organised the rental. When Charlie and the rest of the team turned up, Rachel was already begging Jane to give Harry back to her. Jane was in a very distraught state and could have done anything…Rach must have been so scared. Anyway, hopefully Jane will now get some professional help and Rachel and Tony can enjoy their beautiful boy.

Angelo is still hounding Hugo. He actually arrested him after finding a haul of abalone in his store shed. It wasn’t until Angelo viewed the security camera vision, that he believed Hugo had actually been the one giving him a telephone tip-off about Gibbsy. Poor Hugo, he then managed to save Aden from getting arrested, as he knew Gibbsy was taking him out on the boat at night to get more abalone. Hopefully Gibbsy will be locked up, we don’t need people like him in Summer Bay. I don’t know what that means for Irene, that trawler business has been a disaster for her from the beginning.

Miles is struggling with Kirsty being at Uni and all the work it involves. He has been left to look after the caravan park and Ollie, plus trying to hold down a full time job as a teacher. We had a good chat about it on the beach, he wasn’t sure if this was just a bump in the road or if it was something more. I told him ‘for what it’s worth I think you and Kirsty will be fine, you might have your moments, but you love each other and that is all that matters.’ I don’t know if Kirsty is telepathic but Miles told me later that when he got home, the house was tidy and Kirsty really wanted to spend time with him...how wonderful.

Charlie and Ruby’s life is getting more and more complicated. When Ruby and Geoff disappeared, Charlie found out that they had gone to see her mother’s sister, Aunty Michelle in the City. Charlie stayed with her after Ruby was born, she was a confused and desperate teenager and Michelle tried to support her. Charlie knows Ruby is desperately looking for answers about her father, and she is so worried about what it will do to her and to their relationship.

She blames Ross for the way he handled it, and for making her feel ashamed. According to Constable Watson, Charlie had a real go at Ross when he went down to see her at the police station.

I’m sure Ross thought he was trying to protect her at the time, and with his current state of health, this must be very upsetting for him.

I’d better go, Alf and Morag have just come in looking very worried, Ross has gone missing!

Take care
