Hello everyone

We’ve had a lovely week with Belle and Aden’s wedding. She looked absolutely gorgeous and it was wonderful to catch up with Amanda and young Ryan again.

I had a good chat with Amanda, she is so happy with Peter, especially now they have a baby on the way. She loved coming back to visit and wished she had been able to spend more time with Belle before the wedding. Amanda wasn’t sure if she was just feeling over-protective, but she felt Belle wasn’t her usual self and was quite worried about her.

I must admit I’ve noticed how pale and tired she has been lately and when Aden was late for the wedding I wondered if something was wrong between them, but once the wedding was under way, I can honestly say I have never seen two people more in love.

Rachel and Tony took baby Harry home this week, he is so cute and Tony is totally smitten, but Rach seems to be struggling, she keeps referring to parenting books and gets quite upset if Tony doesn’t do exactly as it says in the book. On top of that, she had to face the hospital board over the loss of her patient’s baby.

As Rachel is now on maternity leave, a new doctor has arrived with his family to take over at the hospital. I met them at the beach when they asked for directions. His wife Jody is very nice, but I saw them having a very heated argument and then she came to the Diner and poured her heart out to me. It seems Dr Sid Walker has been cheating on his wife and she had hoped a fresh start in Summer Bay would get their relationship back on track. Well the argument resulted in her heading back to the City, leaving her two kids, Indigo and Dexter with their father. Neither of the kids appear to have much respect for their Dad and they are not too impressed at being taken away from their friends. Lets hope they can make some new friends soon.

Charlie’s world is falling apart, she was with Angelo after the wedding, and he wanted to take her for a picnic, when she got hit by a car. It turns out that it was Brett driving, Joey’s brother. Of course Angelo had no idea who he was and wanted to throw the book at him for dangerous driving but after Charlie insisted that she didn’t want any charge to be made against him, Angelo realised there was something more to this story. Finally she confessed the whole ‘Joey’ story to him and now their relationship is looking shaky.

She is in a lot of pain from the accident and Dr Young told her family that she had a dislocated pelvis and probably had similar difficulties when she was pregnant. Ruby was quick to correct him and said she had never been pregnant, but not long after that, her father Ross made a surprise visit and one of the nurses told me that they were talking very secretively and Charlie was quite distressed.

Kirsty was at the hospital visiting John Palmer, when Trey appeared holding a syringe, he was very agitated and didn’t help when John continued to badger him, telling him he was useless. Kirsty stepped in and told John to be quiet and gently persuaded Trey not to do anything stupid.

Sid Walker has just been in the Diner, I’m not sure about him at all, he’s got no idea what the kids are up to and I told him that he needs to pay more attention to what they are doing. He believed Indigo when she said school didn’t start back until next week and I heard her inviting some of the other kids to a party, which he knew nothing about.

I’d better get back to the kitchen, the orders are piling up.

Until next week

Take care
