Hi everyone.

We had the Summer Bay Film Festival (or “fil-em” festival as Colleen called it lol) this week which didn’t quite go to plan… Colleen’s earrings for the event were a pair of rolls of film exposures! The most humiliating thing happened to Nic – we got cosy to watch the first film called “Hot Summer Nights” but it was a recording of Nic and Trey…having sex! It was only on for a few seconds but believe me, we saw more than enough before Jai literally pulled the plug. Poor Nic just ran off in tears with Geoff hot on her heels. We knew Trey was bad news! Just before the festival started, Nic rocked up to him, gave him an earful then slapped him and walked straight into the arms of Geoff. Showing the video was obviously Trey’s way of getting back at her. I should’ve known something was up when Kirsty said that she saw Ruby and Nic acting weird at the house earlier. Nic was doing a voice recording for Jai’s short film but Trey climbed through her window (again!) and happened to leave the camera recording so Jai saw what they got up to when the tape was returned to him. In the process of trying to supposedly cover up his indiscretion, Trey erased Jai’s entire film that he was working so hard on :-( I saw Jai talking to Xavier at the Diner, Jai looked quite awkward whereas Xavier was just laughing. Later that day, Ruby was also in the Diner giving those two a telling off. They tried to keep the truth from Nic because they wanted to protect her but Jai (very stupidly) gave Trey the memory card under the pretence that it would be destroyed. Nic is mortified. Before this, she seemed to be coping well with everything that’s happened around here recently. She had spoken to Roman, who wants her to stay with Miles and Kirsty and I saw her jestfully talking to Aden, although he looked very serious. The way Colleen’s been carrying on about the event, you’d think it was her on that film! She’s really upset.

Elsewhere in the Bay, it’s wonderful to have Irene back at work but she has been having problems with managing Lou’s trawling business. The boat sunk at the pier and it doesn’t like it was an accident… She’s having insurance issues at the moment. All because of that horrible Donna De Bono – Angelo kept finding evidence against her and it turns out that it was her who shot Lou and she’s been trying to frame Irene all this time! We’re relieved that it’s over.

Now that Belle’s living with Aden at Roman’s, she was telling me at work how much she’s enjoying living with him, she said she feels “grown-up” now lol. But he’s being a bit messy which she’s annoyed with but they are so happy together. Aden was in the Diner asking for work, I think he’s really struggling after his job went under with Lou’s business (no pun intended) especially now that he has mortgage payments to keep up with. Unfortunately I couldn’t help him because Kirsty has picked up all the slack since Roman left. Kirsty and Miles have been arguing and I suppose it didn’t help that they sat down to a very tense dinner in the company of Rach, Tony, Martha and Hugo. Apparently a distraught Claudia interrupted dinner to chat with Martha, who was all too happy to leave the table. On a good note, Tony and Rach have asked Martha and Hugo to be Baby Holden’s god-parents, they’re all stoked.

Angelo seems to be getting on better with the locals nowadays, I gather he’s seeing that new teacher, May and he and Charlie had dinner at the Diner the other night. Speaking of dinner at the Diner, Ruby stormed out after what sounded like a very heated discussion between her and Charlie a few days ago. Ruby told me that she and Jai overheard John Palmer’s suggestion to make Trey apologise for what he did to Nicole – I don’t see how that’s going to help anyone! But Nic’s happy for him to be made a spectacle of. Ruby also said that they saw Claudia talking to her ex Lachie, they weren’t the only ones to see though – Geoff was there too.

What is going on around here?! Everyone seems to be acting a little odd.
