What made you apply to be on Four Weddings?

Actually one of my bridesmaid convinced me - I thought it would be fun and both she and I thought I’d have a chance at winning, I do run large productions for a living.

Did you have any idea you'd win?

No the points were similar – we all gave each other between 4 and 6’s - it could have been anyone’s game. So I planned my wedding the way I would have regardless if being on the show, then I left it in the contestants hands to judge.

Who was your main competition out of the other brides and why?

Jules, not because I thought her wedding would be better but because she was so competitive and she doesn’t like losing!

Will you keep in contact with any of the other brides?

Yes only one, The producers pick personalities that clash, it makes for good TV.

What was your favourite part of the competition and why?

In hindsight Tanya’s wedding, her wedding was the first of the three I went to and set a benchmark for the follow weddings – which I thought could only go up. Besides scary Gollum, it was a lovely reception setting with amazing gardens, amazing food and the company at the table were great.

What are you looking forward to most about your honeymoon?

Relaxing – I need a holiday after the show!

For any viewers considering applying to be on Four Weddings, what would you say to them?

Think about it seriously, you will get backlash, everybody has different standards for weddings and yours may be higher. People won’t like everything about you and you have to be prepared for that! The problem is you get 10 minutes of airtime, nobody really knows you as person or even the truth about how great or not great the weddings truly are. You have to be comfortable with strangers passing judgement on you. Be honest and open and true to yourself – I was, so I am happy with the outcome.
