When Mike Black entered the Deal-a-drome you got the feeling from the outset that he was going to go all the way. Walter's offers go up and down throughout this topsy turvy game and when Mike reached an offer of $15,000, with not a whole lot left on the board, he once again played on. Mike was absolutely convinced that his case had something big in it and he was going after it.

Right at the end of this game it became a quintessential Deal or No Deal dilemma, as Mike had to risk the lot for a chance at pretty much doubling his money. With just 2 cases to go and the $20,000 and the 50cents left in play Mike had a big decision to make. It was all or nothing. Amazingly Mike put all his faith in his case and said No Deal. We now all know how Mike earned his moniker of the "Fifty Cents Man" as his case contained our good friend, Banoodles the Monkey.

Since Mike's show went to air somebody was mysteriously putting a fifty cent piece in his letterbox every week and for many, many months Mike had no idea who it was. By the time he found out it was a couple of good friends having a great time at his expense Mike had clocked up $200! So at least Mike walked away with something in the end.
