Celebrity Partner: Layne Beachley
Dannial Gosper was introduced to Ballroom dancing at an early age, as his parents were competing professional dancers with their own dance studio. He started competing at eight, winning multiple national titles in Juvenile, Junior, Youth and Amateur.
In 1999, he travelled to Switzerland to dance for the international Olympic committee in an effort to have Ballroom Dancing introduced into the 2000 Olympics as a demonstration sport.
The next year, Dannial danced centre stage at the closing ceremony of the Sydney Olympics, where he met world champion and choreographer Jason Gilkison.
In 2002, Dannial went on to work with Jason in the world renowned show 'Burn the Floor', travelling extensively throughout the world for the next eight years. During this time he met his dance partner and fiancé Ash-Leigh Hunter, who is dancing with Matt White.
Both Dannial and Ash-Leigh auditioned for the So You Think You Can Dance this year, with Dannial reaching the top 40 and Ash-Leigh the top 18.
Outside dancing, Dannial is a carpenter by trade and enjoys rock climbing, camping, and motor bike riding at his 40 acre property at Upper Colo, NSW.
Dannial and Ash-Leigh will be getting married on New Years Eve in Perth, WA.
