Dance has been a way of life for Michael Miziner since he came to Australia from Russia at the age of 10. A few years later later, Michael found his feet on the dance floors of suburban Australia. As a 12-year-old immigrant, Michael gravitated towards ballroom dancing as a way to connect with the equally dance-enthused local Russian community.
By 15, Michael was third in the world. Since the start of his dance career. Michael has travelled the world to learn from the best teachers and compete in internationally-renowned competitions. Michael has 10 years of teaching experience, working in leading dance studios in the US, Russia, Japan and China.
Michael won the first series of Dancing With The Stars with Rebecca Cartwright. He was the lead in 'Valentino the Musical', has performed in Broadway's 'The Dance Show' for Richard Gere and appeared in the video clip for Cosima De Vito's One Night Without You.
He is the reigning Australian and Asia-Pacific Latin dance champion with his partner, Anastasia.
