The track. A field built for galloping thoroughbreds and fast-talking bookies. A world of short odds, allowances, leg-ins and layoffs. A world where some people will do whatever it takes to make the odds work in their favour.
Jarvis’ passion for the ‘gee gees’ will guide Homicide through racing’s winners and losers. So who’s top dog? The team suspect Max McKenzie. But he’s slipped through their fingers once before. Will they let him get away a second time?
