Simon: “It wasn’t an ‘accident’. Read the report. The Major Collisions Unit says he deliberately mowed this kid down. We’re treating this as a murder.”

A professional hit on a suburban woman. A teen deliberately mowed down on his way home. Two separate crimes in the same neighbourhood leave families broken and devastated. But were these families happy to begin with?

The team are investigating two deaths where motive, witnesses and straight answers are hard to find. The only way to open these cases up is to hit the pavement, the answers are there - they just have knock on the right door.

Stanley discovers Waverley is getting help from within Homicide. And Simon, working solo on the collision case, comes up against criminal lawyer Tess Westaway. These sparring partners are on opposing teams, but they soon find they’ve a great deal in common.
