Jeremy, 24, ACT
Jeremy is a chess champion and while his lack of emotion might come in handy when psyching out his competitors, it has had the opposite effect on attracting girls.
“I’ve never had a girlfriend,” he confesses. “I’m not a very emotional person so maybe the beauties can help bring that out in me a bit.”
Describing himself as a mixed bag of skittles, Jeremy’s main fear is that he’ll never fall in love.
“Since I’ve never been kissed, I worry I will be a horrible kisser and this insecurity gets worse the older I get.”
Jeremy works as a radio communications engineer, but also has a strong interest in mathematics and chess.
“Some people consider chess a sport. You need to be strong mentally – I’ve played for up to 4.5 hours – and to be able to concentrate for that long I would consider it a sport. My chess playing is probably my geekiest attribute. I’m the ACT champion – it’s really annoying not being able to say state champion.”
Chess might hold his attention for long periods of time, but Jeremy admits he can have a low attention span with people and get bored easily. Maybe the girls can hold his attention?
“But I’m not really expecting to find intelligent girls in the house,” he says.
His other favourite past-time might not be as geeky; in fact it might grab the ladies’ attention.
“I’ve been making balloon animals since I was six or seven. I’ve had a few jobs making balloons at parties, which has been fun.”
“I wouldn’t say no to a kiss. I’d probably get embarrassed. I go really red in the face when I get embarrassed.”

Jeremy is one of the most natural, modest and sweetest 'Geeks' in the house. He has the potential to win this competition, he is respectful and understanding, he definitely gets my two thumbs up!
