- Casting plaster -you can get these from Hardware stores but please check with an adult first.
- Large Ice Cream container
- Powder paint
- Water
- Spoon
- Large Paper Clip
- Paper Plate
What to do:
- Set yourself up on some newspaper or plastic flooring first.
- Then carefully pour the plaster powder into the ice-cream container or bucket-which ever you choose. Use about 500g per hand.
- Add the paint powder and enough water so that the plaster seems rough and cracked but is smooth when a spoon is run over the top. Stir plaster thoroughly.
- Slightly bend open the paperclip and place it near the top of the plate.
- Scoop plaster onto the plate and smooth out. (The paperclip should still be visable from the top of the plate.
- Now press your hand firmly into the plaster but remove quickly so it doesn't get stuck-This stuff dries really fast.
- Finally, leave the plaster overnight to dry. Then hang it up and you'll always have that special memory of your hand. COOL!
