• A hammer
• Long stick of wood
• Bottle tops
• One thick nail
• Packet of thin nails

What to do:

• Make sure you get an adults permission before you start. You might also want to ask them to help hammer the nails into the wood because it can get a little tricky.
• Being very careful and using the thick nail, hammer a hole into the centre of each bottle cap.
• Then, slide two bottle caps onto a thiner nail and hammer it into the wood. Repeat again and again until you have covered most of the stick But make sure you don't hammer the nails right in, you need to leave a little free space for the metal caps to rattle.
• Also make sure you leave enough space at the top of the stick for your hand.
• Now you're making music!
