Haywire breaks into a deserted fast-food place via the drive-thru window, and proceeds to fill up on junk food. A couple of teenagers walk in on him, and he races out. Agent Sands brings Mahone up to speed on the Haywire spotting, but Mahone tells him to let the local authorities handle it. He wants everyone working the Cooper case. Mahone also finds out that a gas-station attendant in Utah saw Cooper after he parachuted out with the money. Against T-Bag's better judgment, Michael and Lincoln release Tweener from the trunk. They send him on an errand to retrieve supplies from the garden store, and gas up the car. LJ is processed at the detention center, and asks if they have GED classes.
The Chief of Staff briefs Governor Tancredi. The Governor sees Kellerman - who he remembers from Sara's apartment - leaving an office, and is very concerned. Sara opens an envelope containing another origami bird with another disconnected number written on it. She puts the two birds side by side to try and decipher the code. Lincoln cuts the electricity to the woman's house. Tweener gets the last of the supplies, but a man unlocks the door, sees the clerk is missing, and calls the sheriff. Before he can connect, Tweener knocks him out with a shovel. Tweener returns to the guys. Michael is pleased until he hears about the intruder. Lincoln says they have to move fast. The homeowner, Jeanette, opens the door to find Michael dressed in coveralls. He asks if her electricity is out. Haywire's on foot when he spots a squad car. He ducks into the back door of an unlocked house. An old blind lady asks, "Billy, is that you?" Haywire says, "Yes." Mahone questions the gas-station attendant about Cooper. He learns that Cooper filled up twice in one day. Michael sweet talks Jeanette, and she agrees to let him and his crew dig up the garage floor to restore her electricity. Governor Tancredi meets with Senator Lemon, who tells him things just don't add up with the Burrows case. Before he can tell him more Lemon sees a man watching them, and leaves. Mahone works the numbers, and comes up with a sixty-four mile perimeter. He figures Westmoreland stashed the money somewhere inside that circle. That's where the escapees are.
Sucre and C-Note walk in on the guys in the garage. C-Note greets Michael with, "Whassup, Snowflake?" Michael is nervous that the two stragglers will ruin the con, but C-Note has the last word on the subject. The now-larger crew continues digging. T-Bag decides he should go keep the homeowner occupied. T-Bag and Jeanette flirt with each other, and she pours him a drink. Michael tells the guys about europeangoldfinch.net, a site where they can post messages if they need to communicate with each other in the future. Lincoln hits the silo's foundation. Michael says once they find the cash they have to leave town in a hurry. Tweener confesses that he forgot to gas up the car. Angry, Michael orders Tweener to gas up the car now. The old blind woman figures out that Haywire is not her son Bobby, and dials 9-1-1 as Haywire comes at her with a knife.
Mahone and the sheriff free the two bound-and-gagged men. They tell them the escaped cons are in town. The Governor finds an envelope on his hotel desk with the words, "If You Really Want To Know" on it. Inside is a jump-drive with a sound file on it. He begins to listen to it. LJ steps into the jail's GED class, and manages to send a photo of Kellerman to a reporter's web address. Kim tells Kellerman that Lemon downloaded some Blackfoot, Montana, files, and had lunch with Tancredi. Kellerman looks worried. T-Bag comes on strong to Jeanette. She's only interested in Lincoln, and it burns T-Bag. He eyes an ice pick on the table. Two police officers enter the old woman's house to find her unharmed. Haywire, however, has cut-out and stolen a painting she had of Holland. While shopping in the grocery store, Sara gets a call from her father. He warns her that Kellerman isn't who he says he is. He says he's flying back to Chicago, and learned that she was right. Before she can ask him about what, Sara turns and walks into Kellerman. She clicks off her phone. Tweener is recognized by a gas-station attendant, who calls the police. He makes a run for it as several squad cars, including Mahone's, give chase. Mahone finally corners him, and presses his gun to his head: "Where... are... they?" When Michael doesn't see T-Bag or Jeanette, he rushes upstairs and bursts into her bedroom with a hammer. He finds her unharmed, but she's had it and wants them out, now.
Downstairs the diggers hear a car pull up. Sucre checks the window. A female cop is walking up to the house. Jeanette, Michael, and T-Bag see her from the window. T-Bag slams Jeanette against the wall, and puts the hammer's claw to her neck. "One word and I'll rip your throat out." The officer reaches for the doorknob as Michael's mind races for a way out.
