Chris Vance

Whistler
Born in London, Chris Vance grew up in the United Kingdom, spending family holidays on his grandparents' farm in Ireland. A graduate of the University of Newcastle in the north of England, Vance moved back to London, where he met his Australian-born wife. After their engagement, the couple moved to Australia, where they were married.

Prison Break marked Vance's first appearance on American television. He previously starred in the long-running Australian medical drama series All Saints. His additional Australian credits include the television series Stingers, The Secret Life of Us and Blue Heelers, as well as the feature Macbeth.

Vance's acting skills were finely honed in the theater, from his first job playing Paris in Romeo and Juliet in Oxford, followed by various roles in the London Fringe, Royal National Theatre and various other theater companies in the United Kingdom. His United Kingdom television appearances include Kavanagh QC, Peak Practice, The Bill, Doctors and Family.

Chris Vance is English then, not Aussie as you quote "one of our own" in Google. He's one of our own, English.

It really drives me to insanity when the only comment one can make about an actor/actress is ' English' 'One of our own' !!! etc... etc... etc.... The guy is a superb all round actor who has, I believe, varied his roles to date. Prison Break will propel his profile up to more known and wider status. Both Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell were also both born in England and by this reasoning are not american and australian respectively but that does not distract or add from/to their worth as

being excellent in their field of work! It shouldn't really matter whether Mr. Vance is from England, Australia or indeed from the surface of the moon - it still doesn't distract/add to his worth as a really great all round actor either! Go Mr. Vance!! Please come back and visit us all here in ENGLAND (lol) again very soon!!! :)

Fair enough, they are great actors but why does 7 insist on calling calling Chris Australian? perhaps just to bring in more viewers? As lyndalees rightly said it doesn't matter where they are from.
