So much for Adelaide teen Sheridan's year off between high school and university.
"There was nothing much going on in my life early this year and now it's all gone crazy, I'm loving it," says the only blonde female in the Make Me a Supermodel top 14.
After finishing school last year, Sheridan only recently moved out of home, from Adelaide's northern suburbs to trendy beachside Glenelg.
She has been working two jobs, waitress by day and bartender by night, to pay for her newly acquired lifestyle, and now this, an opportunity of a lifetime with Make Me a Supermodel.
"I love Adelaide; it's quiet and relaxed. Everyone knows everyone and the weather is great," she says. "But this is the biggest thing I've ever done."
Not only does she love her home town, she is also passionate about Aussie designers.
"My favourites are Tsubi, Sass ad Bide and Maticevski," she says.
If you notice a spring in Sheridan's step, it's probably because she was a champion high jumper, the national champion for her age on five occasions.
"I still train but more for fitness than to compete," she says.
After modelling, Sheridan says she wants to be an actor or TV presenter. She also wants her success to mean more than a Victoria's Secret catalogue.
"I want to be an inspiration to younger girls, if that's possible. The great thing about doing this on TV is that it won't just be my face that's judged, but my whole personality.
When the house gets tense, and it inevitably will, Sheridan says she'll be the "sensible one".
"I'll be the rational person in those situations, there's no point in getting too silly about things," she says.
Sheridan has two younger sisters who adore her and an older brother particularly proud of his sister's early success.
"My brother's already said he's going to use the fact I'm on the show to pick up girls," she says.
