Well! Well, well, well, well!

Last week, Tom was busy sending messages of love to his girlfriend Nat at the end of his blog. And the week prior, he was busily defending his friendship with Shanina and insisting there was nothing untoward going on.

I have to say, I was a little skeptical myself that anything was going on... looking into Shanina's big, innocent eyes and listening to her say everyone was being unfair when they cast speculation onto her and Tom's friendship, and listening to Tom waxing lyrical about Nat – I wondered if Courtney and Billy's claims of an illicit romance were motivated by hmm... not sure what exactly. Ambition, perhaps?

Turns out Couple Number 1 were telling the truth about Couple Number 2 because this week, I arrived at the house to find Tom looking absolutely haggard and Shanina looking, well... rather perky to be honest.

Tom admitted he had called his girlfriend and confessed he and Shanina had hooked up. I asked if they had broken up and he said they hadn't... but the bags under his eyes indicated he knows he has some serious groveling to do. After all, Tom's girlfriend Nat had previously straight-out asked him if there was anything going on and told him that she was fielding some pretty uncomfortable questions from her friends after each show. He had assured her she had nothing to worry about.

I suppose that's correct if you don't find public humiliation 'worrying' – because we can only imagine how Nat is taking the news and after this week's episode, how she'll be looking to 'welcome' Tom home.

What was the most disturbing thing however was Shanina's seeming detachment from what Tom's actually feeling right now. Shanina was happy to tell me she trusted Tom completely and had a really close friendship with him, while he was rubbing his eyes and admitting he thinks the friendship has taken some big knocks and he doubts it will ever be able to go back to what it was. (Note to Tom: if you want to get back with Nat, methinks deleting Shanina's digits after the show will certainly help matters.)

But just when it all seemed to be a bit much, Shanina dropped the bubbly façade and spilled on feeling a world of guilt and admitted she hasn't slept properly since it's all come out in the open.

What do you guys think? A classic case of proximity and an abundance of blessed genes combining to form an inevitable attraction? Should Tom be forgiven? Or is he just trying to have the best of both worlds? Go on, give me your verdict!
