Jackie's intimate relationship with publishing and fashion began at Harper's Bazaar Australia before an international career beckoned. Jackie worked alongside the world's best models and photographers as fashion editor of British Elle before moving to New York's Elle and Mademoiselle titles. She was soon poached by British marie claire to take on the specially created role of New York-based fashion editor. Not long after, she would play an integral role in the launch of the US edition of marie claire.
When marie claire was set to launch an Australian product in 1995, there could be no better choice as editor than Jackie Frank. She took the magazine to the top of its market, where it has remained for a decade. In 2005, Jackie was named Magazine Publishers of Australia editor of the year and given the additional role of publisher of Australian marie claire.
Jackie now also appears on Channel Seven breakfast show Sunrise as an "all star".
As a Make Me A Supermodel judge, Jackie is looking for someone with a unique look and a strong personality.
"To be called a supermodel is a rare distinction and requires someone to have a real X-factor – they need to be a chameleon and match their looks with drive and professionalism," Jackie says. "Beauty and height are important but not the be all and end all – it's how you work your look."
