Episode 433 - Risky Business

A young woman, Lara, drags her semi conscious much older husband, Robert out of a river. He has fallen into shallow water while showing off swinging on a rope. Heath and Bree arrive and while doing initial assessments, Robert loses consciousness. He is brought into the ED with no feeling in his legs. As the reason for Robert's stunt comes to light, and it seems likely that Robert will become a paraplegic, it seems unlikely their marriage will survive...

Steve is arriving for work when a young man, Gary, drives up the back of his precious ute. Gary is slumped unconscious behind the wheel and is rushed into the ED where Gabrielle, Bart and Steve work to find out what has happened to him. His brother, Damo, arrives and when he tries to run off with Gary's bag, a snake is discovered inside. Steve realises it's a non-venomous snake and unlikely to have caused Gary's problems. So, it's a race against time to work out what it is that's causing this young man to deteriorate so quickly...

Alex is brought in after rescuing a woman from abduction. His act was an instinctive one of heroism, but Alex will have none of it, believing himself to be an irredeemably bad person. Charlotte and Zoe work brilliantly together, completing the seemingly menial task of picking out gravel from Alex's legs, whilst at the same time uncovering why he is such a reluctant hero. Zoe and Charlotte's double act makes Frank's life even more difficult as he attempts to come to terms with the impossible dilemma handed down to him by Admin...

Dan attempts to keep his mind on the job as his father's life hangs in the balance in another hospital.

I think this was a good episode. The lady (Lara) that was wife to the man who fell into the river seemed selfish it annoyed me that they ened up back together, because it seems like the relationship is all about her. I felt sorry for him.

How can I just write about one particular episode? Occasionally there is an episode that lacks depth or a good story line, but 9 times out of 10, All Saints is clever, intriguing, interesting, gripping and just bloody enjoyable. I love it and the characters (not zoe's character though)

I also think its sad that Dan's dad has died after another heart attack, how is that going to effect his and Ericas relationship ? Oh and they mentioned that the next episode will be based on a true event, they should deff do this more often! Who agrees?

Heh, initially thought it was amusing that both Steve and Gabby knew what a Diamond Python looked like, being from the country... by DPs are native to the Sydney area, and I assume they're not Sydney natives :p

i loved how bart and frank were all freaked out with the snake but steve was fine and gabi was smiling at it, as though it was a cute little puppy dog. this was good work from the writers as it refreahed our memories of everyone's heritage. gabi and steve from the country and bart and frank, city

Except diamond pythons are actually native to Sydney, not the country :p It always amuses me when writers throw something like that in. I'm sure 'python' sounded really good and they didn't think about the fact gabby and Steve weren't native to its native area :p

I was really disappointed with the snake story. This practice of asking people to identify the snake was outmoded years ago and many people were bitten whilst looking for the culprit. Also doctors can't idenitfy snakes. Nowadays we use urine, blood or wound swabs. Get it right!!
