The entire ED team was held at gunpoint by James, Smokey and Melissa who were after the drugs from the Hospital Pharmacy. To achieve this, the trio set off a bomb in the Path Lab (effectively destroying it) to create a diversion.

• Jack was directly involved in the bomb blast whilst in the Path Lab.
• Melissa was shot and killed by James in front of the team - Smokey and him then left the ED with the stolen drugs.
• Von found herself with a gun to her head when she attempted to go to Dan's defence.
• Erica was almost raped by James when he forced her to leave the ED with him.
• Dan was suffering the effects of his Hep C treatment
• Ann-Maree came back to the ED to be tested for a spread of the cancer and told Von that if it had spread, she was leaving Bart - she received the news that it had not spread.
• Frank made an unauthorised statement to the media in the aftermath of the siege - Von watched him do it.
