When a homecare patient is brought in after taking a lethal drug combination, it's up to Von, Bart and Frank to work out whether or not it was an accident. After treating a young victim of a golfing accident, and dealing with his drunken mate, Dan reassesses his impending buck's night.

Season 2008 will continue to explore the action and intrigue of our guest stories, as well as deal with the trials and tribulations of our regular characters but with a deliberate shift to more action based stories on location and a deeper exploration of the personal lives of our ED team.

We open the year with the majority of the team held hostage in the ED at gunpoint, the hospital's pathology lab exploding and a drug robbery underway. This is our team at its best, under enormous pressure, with patients to keep alive while their own safety is at risk. These are our heroes, who can put personal fears aside for the greater good and support each other through the darkest of times.
