The MRU find themselves unwittingly in the eye of a media storm when they are called out to treat Tilly, a sixteen year old girl who has been kidnapped by her father, Noah. They have been on the run in dense bushland for two weeks. But when Mike gets held by Noah at knifepoint, we quickly realise that all is not as it seems. Noah’s motivation is to protect his daughter from her step-father, Lance. And when Tilly looks to be dying from her injuries, Mike make a bold decision about Noah’s future.

Once in the ED, Mike manages the impressive task of keeping Tilly safe from Lance when he arrives with her mother to see her. Mike outwits Lance causing him to fall on his own sword and paving the way for a heartfelt re-union between the fugitive Noah and his injured daughter.

Bart, Gabrielle and Elliott also have their hands full. A spoilt Corrine Martin has presented with severe stomach pains. Despite her dissimulation, the team discover she has undergone gastric banding overseas, and in her desperate attempt to lose weight developed necrosis of the stomach. Corrine’s condition takes an unexpected turn and the team are left to wonder at Elliott’s odd response.

Adam, Charlotte and Amy treat a handsome personal trainer who has fractured his penis in an extra-marital fling. Despite his very serious injuries, Grant Best forbids the team from telling his wife Elaine what really happened, not wanting to lose her. But when Elaine arrives, she soon uncovers the truth and the couple are forced to confront the cracks in their relationship. In the middle of this, Von is forced to break bad news to Adam. Adam’s grief is expressed first as officiousness, then as anger as he snaps at the bickering Elaine and Grant and then Charlotte.

Later, Adam shows up at Charlotte’s to apologise for his poor form, only to find himself settling in for dinner…

Most abused children are abused in "mum-and-mummies-new-boyfriend" households, while natural fathers usually try to protect their kids. But dads are stuck by a divorce system that treats any allegation by a woman as truth. Instead of an assumption of innocence, dads fight against the assumption of guilt. And now the Greens and Government is preparing to remove the possibility ...
