The MRU Team is called to a Horse Training facility. A horse has been spooked, thrown its rider and stomped two others. The horse rider, Harry, has head injuries, while the facility’s owner, Evan, has a crushed foot and ankle. Katherine, a Vet and the third casualty, was kicked, but seems the least injured of the three.

Steve takes Harry to Hospital in the chopper, leaving Mike and Jo to attending to Evan and Katherine. Both patients begin to deteriorate - Evan teeters on the edge of a fatal asthma attack, while Mike realises that the horse’s kick has left Katherine with a torn aorta. If it bursts, she will die. There is little Mike can do, except keep her calm and get her to theatre ASAP.

Faced with a question of which patient to prioritise next, Mike recklessly decides to take both in the chopper at the same time. Steve protests that Mike is putting the lives of both patients at risk. Mike overrules him. The chopper takes off with two very unstable patients crammed inside.

Evan and Katherine make it to hospital. However, when Katherine learns the severity of her condition, she begs to speak to her children and see her husband one last time before going to Theatre. The Resus team has no choice but to wait. Her husband arrives but as she is being transported to Theatre, the tear ruptures fully and she arrests. Mike and the Resus team fight to save her, to no avail. Katherine’s husband Dave assaults Mike, believing that if he had made Katherine his first priority, she might still be alive.

Gabrielle is already stretched thin from trying to juggle work and the family farm. The last thing she needs is a needy, demanding patient. However, that’s just what she gets when Lorraine presents herself for treatment. Lorraine has gone virtually blind, apparently overnight. Adam eventually diagnoses a potentially fatal condition as Gabrielle find Lorraine’s situation resonates with her own unresolved grief.

Later that evening, Gabrielle finds herself alone in her office, looking at a photo of her father – is Lorraine’s long, lonely road of unending grief also Gabrielle’s fate? Unable to continue alone, Gabrielle gratefully accepts Steve’s offer to help with the upkeep of the family farm.

I believe that the condition that Lorraine was "Whipples" disease or something like that...couldn't quite catch the name. It means that you can't breakdown fats and carbs and one of the symptoms is diahearra.

I am writing in regards to the All Saints Episode Sept. 15, Win some,Lose some, there was a small segment I missed, in relation to what conditon Adam diagnosed for Lorraine. I cannot view tv episodes on my pc for some unknown reason, If anyone out there can tell me what that condition was, and how it was diagnosed, that would be greatly appreciated.
