The MRU are called to a motor vehicle accident. Two cars have collided and are now T-boned on the road. Jo is shocked to discover one of the drivers is Declan. She can’t help but think two accidents within a few weeks is more than a coincidence. Declan is scared to admit he might have Multiple Sclerosis. It would mean the end of his stunt career forever. But, in convincing Declan to do the right thing, Jo comes to a realisation about her own life - prompting her to make a drastic decision.

The driver of the other car is a P-plater – nineteen year old Holly. She is in severe shock. One of her passengers – a fellow band member - has been killed in the collision, and the other is unconscious with severe head injuries. In the absence of any other explanation Holly assumes she was responsible for the accident and is devastated.

Katerina is anxious to win back Frank’s approval. She tries to talk to him about it, but Frank shuts her down. She becomes increasingly desperate and, when she sees Bart earn Frank’s praise for good medical work, thinks this might be the answer to her problems. She stages a medical problem and solves it beautifully, earning the pat on the back she craved. But when Frank tells her he’s still transferring her to another department Katerina takes another patient’s life in her hands, with disastrous consequences.

Adam confronts Debra and she realises Von has told him about the cancer. Debra is deeply apologetic – she was going to tell him herself – things were just so good, she didn’t want to ruin it. Debra becomes so distressed at the thought of losing Adam that she collapses. Adam rushes her into the ED. He insists on being her doctor, ordering tests for the cancer and getting her medical records from the prison. But, when it turns out the cancer is more serious than expected, will Adam handle it or run a mile…?
