The MRU team arrive at a local butcher shop; where a young female apprentice has impaled herself on one of the meat hooks. The boss is surprisingly dismissive of the accident, blaming it on the apprentice’s clumsiness. A claim angrily denied by the young man who works with them. It soon becomes clear that not everything is as it seems here and when the MRU team is called back to the same place later in the day, they find justice has been served in the most extraordinary way.
First day back after his stabbing, Adam and Von are forced to put aside their awkwardness to help a 17 year old who is discovered to be pregnant and the identity of the father both shocks the team and complicates the situation. Isabelle and her boyfriend are suddenly faced with a very adult choice when she declares her desire to keep the baby. And when Lee seems to abandon the girl in the time of her greatest need, it provides the catalyst for Von and Adam to begin to mend the situation between them.
A slimy journalist, a muckraker of the first order, has been “hit” by a car reversing out of a driveway. The car was driven by the subject of his newest witch-hunt and Barry intends to sue despite the fact that he has suffered no injury whatsoever. When Gabrielle tries and fails to eject him from the ED, Frank reads him the riot act and in doing so reveals that he knows of Barry’s past – that he was once a writer of note but a nervous breakdown saw the end of his ‘legitimate’ reputation. Frank realises that the man has more in common with Katerina than first appearances would indicate... and he looks to kill two birds with one stone by putting the two of them together.
And Mike drops a bombshell on Jo; he thinks Declan’s accident was caused by an undiagnosed neurological condition. Is Jo about to lose the love she’s just found?

I really enjoyed this episode, the way that the apprentice acted was truly spectacular, he was focused and truly worried about the female apprentice, Terri. The boss also acted well, he was a truly bad guy in general. As Jo is my favorite I really liked the way she was with Declan and the way she was stunned when Mike told her his opinion. The journalist was perfect and the fact that Katerina and him got on was brilliant. I felt sorry for Adam and the way that Charlotte had to know what had ha ...
