Kip Gamblin, best known to Australian audiences for playing Scott Hunter in Home and Away, joins the All Saints cast as Dr Adam Rossi.
Although he's now a seasoned actor, Kip was originally a professional dancer.
He studied acting, music and dance at McDonald College of Performing Arts and the Australian Ballet School before performing and touring internationally with the Australian Ballet, West Australian Ballet, Sydney Dance Company.
As a dancer he also performed with Barbara Streisand, Kylie Minogue at the opening ceremony of the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, with the London Opera Company at Covent Garden and was one of the Latin dancers in Baz Luhrmann's blockbuster Moulin Rouge.
Kip's first acting job was a supporting role in the film Kick in 1999 and he hasn't looked back since, although he does continue to teach young male dancers when he has time.
For his Home and Away role, Kip won the Logie for most popular new male talent in 2004.
Kip and his family moved to the United Kingdom in 2005 where he played paramedic Greg Fallon in the popular drama Casualty.
On his return to Australia after two year on Casualty, Kip and his family, wife Linda Ridgway and sons Kelly (8) and Marlon (4), set up their base on the NSW South Coast.
Now he's joined the All Saints cast, they have moved back to Sydney.
It had to be a enticing offer for Kip to leave behind his hobbies, two run-down Kombi vans and a beaten-up timber boat which he loves to spend his spare time restoring, but All Saints was an offer too good to refuse.
"I know I'm going to learn a lot when there's people like John Waters and John Howard on set," Kip says.
"It feels like I've walked into a tight-knit family. Home and Away was a great training ground for me as an actor, now I've got a few years under my belt this feels like I'm playing in the big game."
