10 Years Younger in 10 Days

10 Years Younger in 10 Days

How It Works

Before each couple starts their treatments, they must come face to face with the truth; how old do other people think they look?

At the beginning of each episode, 10 Years Younger in 10 Days cameras take to the streets where 100 people are polled as each half of the couple stand in a glass box for all to see.

News of the average age guessed is broken to each person by host Sonia Kruger. It's a confronting exercise – tears, shock and denial all come into play.

From there, Kruger assigns one expert team to the female and one expert team to the male. She briefs each team on the direction for each makeover and a tailored, daily schedule is put in place.

This is where this make over program becomes a competition. Each team wants to knock more years off than the other – all bets are off... it's about winning!

Then it's 10 days of hard work and intensive treatments for each half of the couple, turning over all control of their image to their style team. From this point onwards, they have no say in their new look, nor are they allowed to see it take form.

How do we decide a winner? After 10 days of anticipation, the new look is finally revealed, first to the couples in a mirror, then it's back on the street in the glass box and a further 100 people are asked to guess their age.

Will their new average age be any younger? And the even bigger question, what will their partner think of their new look? After 10 days apart, our couples are brought back together for an emotion-charged reunion.
